Registered Angus Bred Heifers from Downey Ranch

For the first time ever, DRI sold registered Angus heifers. They represent decades of selection under the same conditions that our commercial cows run under. They must graze native range, cover crops, crop residue, etc. year round, so capacity and fleshing ability are required. They must thrive on the rocky Flint Hills of NE KS, so the skeletal structure, feet, and legs must be in place. Reproductively, they must have the innate fertility to get bred back in a 75 day season each year without a feedbucket in front of them. This has been the requirement for generations. The good stuff is bred in to them and they are ready to thrive in your operation. THESE HEIFERS SOLD INDIVIDUALLY. They sell with sire ID for the calf inutero, currently a $17 value. If you decide to order a full genomic profile, DRI will pay the sire ID portion of the profile. Their service sires are: Lot 11, Lot 16, Lot 18, Lot 36, or DRI Super Bowl C148 |
