Convenience...
-
More
time in the fall; don't you have enough to do in the spring?
-
Fall
calving has wrapped up and spring calving is a long way off.
-
Take
your time & really look at the bulls with us, at YOUR convenience of
course. We'll discuss your program & needs, show you the bulls out on
range, show you their mommas and their just-weaned siblings too. Combine
all this with complete performance information and you have the full
picture that you need to make the right decision for your herd.

Financial Considerations...
-
For a
lot of our customers, cash flow considerations are better in the
fall after harvest, selling calves, etc. Spring brings enough bills with
planting, fertilizer and all that.
-
Tax
time! A bull purchased in November can be expensed a couple of months
later instead of waiting almost a whole year before writing him off.
-
More
bull for your buck! You'll be buying an 18 month old bull, ready for
immediate heavy service in your fall herd who will then be 2 years old
when you turn him out with your spring calving cows. A bull this age can
cover 33% more cows than a yearling without undue stress.
-
No
pampering necessary. While we always recommend you take good care of
your valuable investment, older bulls do not need to be kept separately
and brought along carefully after breeding season is over. Yearling
bulls, because they are still growing need extra feed resources &
attention.
-
Less
guess work. With some yearlings, what you end up with sure doesn't
look like the fancy yearling you bought last spring.
Bred Replacement Females
-
Let us
provide you with replacement females. You use your valuable range land to
run more cows of producing age.
