Once again, we're offering 40 head of our always popular commercial bred heifers.  Kniebels will sell 24 head for a total of 64 bred heifers.  What makes these girls so desirable?

  1. True replacements, bred born and raised within our proven commercial herd.  Most bred heifers for sale are someone's put together, speculative deal.  Who knows the genetics?  Who knows the herd health?  Who knows if the cows were good mothers?  Who knows if they were someone elses culls?  We have years of breeding, production and carcass records that we've used to cull our herd.  We have a closely supervised, comprehensive herd health program and we have a 100% PI-BVD negative herd.

  2. You won't lose a year of income and production.  When you keep heifers, you have to forego that year's income, develop them over the winter, get them synchronized and bred and take up pasture space for a non-producing unit.  Also, you can depreciate purchased breeding stock, but not the one's you keep yourself.  Then you have all those out of pocket costs like semen/bulls, feed, mineral, pasture rent, vet fees for bangs vaccinations, preg checks, vaccinations, etc.

  3. You don't have to calve them out and you'll have a 100% calf crop  if you opt for our live calf guarantee.  You of course can take them home sale day and calve them yourself.  If that doesn't sound appealing because of job or time constraints, or you just aren't interested, let us do it for you.  We will keep your purchase, calve them under close supervision and guarantee you a live calf.  Should we lose one, it's our loss; not yours!  This service must be purchased on sale day.  Click here for details.
